Welcome to the Souper Universe

You are invited.

Pull up a chair for soup talk, storytelling, recipes, and all the things that nourish us, body and soul. In our Italian-American family, Sunday sauce, soup, and cannoli have always been part of the tradition—and every dish comes with a story. This is an adventure in discovery, celebrating the power and joy of food and sharing a little more love with the world. A lot of love, a lot of stories, and always room for one more at the table.

Why a Soup Book?

The question I hear most often is: Why a soup book?

The answer is simple. I love soup. And, everything is soup.

There's a special kind of magic in bringing ingredients together with water, heat, time, and imagination to create something nourishing. Soup is never just soup. It's family, history, improvisation, memory, resourcefulness, and the beautiful alchemy of making something together.

Soup is a way into everything.

More of sharing what we love, aligned with who we are. For every opening, film, tv, theater piece or event, we cook a pot to brew what's new. It's how we connect and center and ground ourselves to activate many grace filled, easy to the heart, launch spells. We are casting intention so we might reach those who need our storytelling medicine and an uplift to encourage their own efforts of connection, care and creativity so we all share and grow in power and purpose.

Soup Stories: What Soup Saved Your Life?

October 30 | P&T Knitwear, New York City

Streaming on YouTube

What soup saved your life? Who made it? What did it carry you through? What memories rise with the steam? If you could invite anyone to join you for a bowl of soup, what would you serve and to who?

Through stories, poetry, readings, food, and conversation, we'll explore the extraordinary ways soup nourishes us, not just physically, but through family, culture, memory, and community.

Because everyone has a soup story. And every story deserves a seat at the table.

The Soup Universe Is Growing

Everything is Soup is one point of entry in a much bigger loving universe of nourishment, creativity, and connection.

Through Soup Stories, we’re sharing the memories and people behind the soup love. Through Soup’s On, we’re making room to gather, experiment, share food, and get to know one another. Our tree to table work over these years enriches our community, allows us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and grounds us in our soul/soil work. Keep an eye out for a comedic, thoughtful, Soup Hotline, coming soon.

Have a soup story to share? A family recipe, a memory, a question, or an idea for gathering? I'd love to hear from you.

And if you’d like to help bring more Soup Stories to the table through a sponsorship or community partnership, I’d love to start a conversation.

Community Care

Let’s gather around uplifting movies, books, food, stories, art, love, and the ancient technologies of care. Bring a friend, invite a neighbor, or come on your own and meet someone new.

Here’s to nourishing one another, discovering what we can create together, and making room for more kindness, connection, and joy.

Together, we build a more beautiful world by nourishing one another, listening generously, sharing what we have, and turning love into action.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Books. Broth. Belonging.

Love,

Mel
