Giving in to a Sunday kinda love.

Sunday is for gathering, contemplation, rest, relaxation, planning, preparation, review and enjoying the people, places, and things we hold most dear.

Flowers, food, reading, romance, work, storytelling, sharing, singing, feasting. This weekend, we participated in a Lughnasadh ceremony, a Celtic marker for mid-summer, to celebrate harvest time inviting reflection of where we are in our lives.

What has ripened these past few months?

Where have you experienced abundance, joy the full power of your heart's work?

What still needs care and tending to complete fruit?

What might you need to have a full bloom?

These are the questions

On this first Sunday of the month, welcome to Sunday, With Love, a monthly gathering from my table to yours. Whatever arrives, the invitation is the same: to slow down, notice what matters, and choose love.

Let's do the work, rest well and let us fully embrace all of summertime's splendors.

And, once, and always....

It's Leo Season.

Look Out.

Hangin' Out at Boul'ange 💚⚡️

Did a debrief with my bestie in a lovely new place, Bou'lange, sharing new adventures, and experiencing the pleasure of what keeps love alive, with our full summertime fruit friends.

Taking Stock

Agh, the joy of using farmer's market vegetable tops, and the scraps from the weeks cooking to make a delightful vegetable stock. Soup is always on. It's the way. The soup way.

Events, Activities, Bits and Bobs

The East Coast was mostly joyful. Doing events on the road was harder than I thought, it was hotter than I imagined and while much of the world is embroiled in change, it was a blast to meet new people, and do new things.

Grateful for the loving reception and opportunities to break new ground. We'll be back at the Last Bookstore in North Hollywood 9/27. Soup continues to be life.

Summertime Where Reading is Deep and Emotional

Love always remains the answer in Mel's work of non-fiction, Vanessa by the Sea, using the ocean as a metaphor to the unconscious. We've heard it is a great way to while away beach days.

PRAYERS FOR PEACE

May the heat and air burn what doesn't serve. May we lay down all weapons of mass destruction. May there be peace on earth.

Let's find ways to bring harmony, love across our beautiful lands.

May all seeds which we have been nourished to

flower in their fullness and find their place

at a banquet of gratitude.

May all that is bitter ripen in sweetness

that we might bear fruit for the world.

Love, Mel
