Love is an experience of connection. It is the highest vibration. We grow in our stewardship of the earth as we put love into action, small or large. Every act of love is met 1000 times in power and purpose. It is the force for good, for our needs and nourishment and for the loving world we want to see. Love is.

Love works miracles. Putting love in action is the end and beginning of every story. Connect with the most nourishing experience of life fully lived, the loving expression of all that you are in action. Being loving. Giving and receiving and expanding your fullness with each and every moment. Present in the purpose of divine presence. Our work has been inspired by so many, one of the greatest loving thought wisdom divine presence workers, bell hooks is the subject of todays love activism activation.

bell hooks’ impact stretches beyond her Kentucky roots and is heralded as one of the preeminent feminist voices of our time. In 1995, Utne Reader recognized her among its “100 Visionaries Who Can Change Your Life.” TIME honored her in 2020 with its “100 Women of the Year,” dubbing hooks a “rare rock star of a public intellectual.” Her passing in 2021 crystalized the grace, love and power she brought into the world. Her light continues to shine for love. Please consider buying her books for yourself or a friend. Consider donating in her legacy so the necessary work of shifting the narrative to love may flourish in new hearts and souls.

From the website for The bell hooks center at Berea College: The bell hooks center honors hooks’ legacy by supporting students as social justice leaders who are active in the creation of a radical undercommons where their many and varied expressions of difference can thrive. Our flagship speaker series hosts leading feminist scholars, activists and artists who can teach our campus and community how to navigate and agitate against the intersecting structures of power that hooks generatively describes as “imperialist-white-supremacist-capitalist-patriarchy.” We believe that an understanding of how sex and gender oppression are products of not just patriarchy, but also and especially of white supremacy, has the potential to chart a new chapter in Berea College’s great, historical commitments—one that cultivates radical coalition between women, LGBTQPIA+ students, and students of color. Our center is thus committed to equipping students with language and tools to imagine and enact new relationships that need not reproduce the gender hierarchy, which we believe, following bell hooks’ teachings, is also a racial hierarchy.

Loving everyone puts us squarely into the heart of the divine loving archetype of Jesus. For each of us the path through and into wisdom goes through reconciling the religion of our childhood, what belief systems we internalized as children. The healing work of balance and harmony always goes through the rocky road of experience, pushing through your beliefs to discern what is the lie that lives in them, that are not true for you. It is how you walk into the necessary work of your life, through the power and purpose of your beingness and your assignment here on earth to be what it is for you to be, to demonstrate through your loving actions your purpose on the planet and to reconnect with what is most true, most loving, and wholly free. May you invite the world anew in transformative growth into the fully realized expression of you. Exactly as you are, in peace.

AWAKEN: TO LOVE EVERYONE IS A WAY THROUGH

Before his passing, Edward Kleban, the lyricist of A Chorus Line created the Kleban Prize in his will, given annually to writers of extraordinary promise – to a librettist and a lyricist, respectively. The awards are administered by BMI in association with New Dramatists and ASCAP. Edward Kleban designed the prize based on his personal experience as a promising writer. He was acutely aware that, though composers and musicians may often work within the theater, lyricists and librettists generally have to work outside the theater in order to support their writing. He wanted a prize of sufficient size to allow promising writers the time to simply write; his creation of the prize flowed from his desire to help other worthy artists like himself. Please find more information here. Submissions for the 2024 prize will be accepted online beginning mid-March through mid-May 2023.

His gifts created an avenue for more artists to be supported through the developmental years. The musical theater needs more and more support for artists conceiving new works. It is in how we steward our work, in how much we create bridges for connection, that we are remembered.

Cherish the moods and rhythms of your sacred sounds. There is only one of you. Love. Yourself. Complete and healed and whole and in full possession of unending joy, peace, love and presence of self. We need all of you. Love yourself with wild abandon. You are not trying to be any one else, you are living your life as an expression of love for who and what you were put on the planet to do. This breath represents the fullness of all that you are, every cell of your being alive and awake to who and what makes your heart beat down to the cellular level ingrained in the codes of your DNA. Love yo self.

AWAKEN: TO LOVE ONESELF IS TO BE ABOUT LOVING LIFE

Experience all of you and say Thanks God for who you are. Exactly as you are. You are absolutely perfect exactly as you are. We never know why we are made a certain way. Who’s to say one quality you consider a hindrance isn't the key to your path through. You never know how the gifts you have been given will be received and to what affect. All you can do is give your gifts freely and openly.

REMEMBER: LOVE IS ALL AROUND

We’ve all gone through what we needed to go through, we’ve seen the outcomes of behaviors, we’ve cycled through disconnection, we’ve seen the truth. We know what doesn’t feel warm and friendly and bring us peace, we know what closes our hearts and we know what we need to remember. Healing is returning to love. Every moment we remember we are made of love, we are home. Love yourself with wild abandon and cherish the moods and rhythms of your sacred sounds. There is only one of you, complete and healed and whole and in full possession of unending joy, peace, love and presence of self. It takes care and work to build a movement, add to that commitment and you have connection, once you achieve critical mass there is love enough to heal perceptions and uplift community. One of my favorite organizations we have been so blessed to work with, dance with and cheerlead along is CRITICAL MASS DANCE COMPANY. They have built a dance from the heart, loving practice for trauma informed healing I use everyday. The idea of moving, your body, mind and spirit, of decolonizing what has clogged, corrupted and castigated your thinking is a blessing to all who meet and practice the arts. This loving, trauma informed company and process lives and breathes heart work and connection. It is focused on areas, professions, care professionals, artists, activists, communities that need more connection, more foundational health and wellness practices and our favorite, it focuses on women identifying, young girl empowering and is practical. It is a tool for good, from the heart, in alignment with a world reborn. Please consider donating to the organization, participating in a class, hosting a session for your workspaces and communities and never worry, you'll find solace in the grand beingness of time spent in critical mass dance company's dance from the heart class.
